Built in 1853, White Columns in the Kennebunkport Historical Society’s premier property. Owned and loved by the same family for 130 years the Victorian era home has retained its old world charm and still contains the properties original furnishings.
Tours Run on the Hour with the First Tour leaving at 10am and the Last Tour leaving at 3pm.

Also found at White Columns is The First Families Museum Maine’s only George H.W.Bush exhibit. This one room exhibit leaves no corner unfilled with a permanent photo timeline of President George H.W. Bush’s life in and out the White House. In addition to the permanent display, the gallery also features rotating collections of Bush memorabilia and artifacts.

Walking Tours are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and are usually limited to groups of 8 or more. On our walking tour guests get a first hand look at the homes and streets of historic Kennebunkport. This tour discusses the architecture of the homes but also tells the stories of the families who built them.
